Bell Little Wild Horse

USA> San Rafael Swell> South Reef>

Overview

hike5.0int

This hike crosses the San Rafael Reef twice in an exciting loop through Bell and Little Wild Horse Canyons. Along the way are beautiful canyons, colorful sandstone geology, dramatic cliff walls and several fantastic slot sections with twists and turns and complex erosional forms. There are pour-offs and boulder clusters to negotiate but nothing very technical. If it has rained recently you may have to wade through cold, waist-deep water. Best done early to beat the crowds and mid-day heat.
