Overview

hike3.5adv

This hike climbs the Moab Rim safari route and continues to an overlook of Moab Valley. You'll enjoy colorful terrain, soaring sandstone cliffs, beige slickrock fins, coral sand and frequent views of Moab Valley and the beautiful Colorado River Gorge. An optional side trip bushwhacks off-trail to a dramatic overlook of the River Portal at the tip of the plateau. The rough and rocky route starts steeply but levels off within about 1 mile (1.5 km). You may share the road with bicycles or motorized traffic.
