Mill Courthouse Mesa

USA> Moab> Mill Tusher>

Overview

hike4.0adv

This hike loops around the rim of an elevated mesa separating Mill Canyon and Courthouse Wash. Along the way are some beginner climbing, lots of dramatic clifftop terrain, fractured white sandstone, swirling salmon slickrock and continuous desert views. This hike packs a lot of excitement into a short distance. There's no trail so it's best if you're unafraid of heights and comfortable route-finding through jumbled terrain. Best enjoyed early in the morning as there's very little shade.

Park in the lot for the Halfway Stage Station historical site. The dirt roads leading to the lot often have some rough and sandy patches but are usually suitable for highway vehicles if you're careful.
