Grandstaff Canyon

USA> Moab> Colorado Upriver>

Overview

hike3.0int

This popular hike follows the bottom of Grandstaff Canyon to Morning Glory Natural Bridge, the sixth-lagest natural span in the USA. Along the way are lush greenery, year-round flowing water and pretty canyon walls of beige-orange sandstone. The trail is well-maintained making for easy going except for a few river crossings where you hop between stepping stones. Canyon shade and flowing water mean cooler temperatures than the surrounding desert. You can extend the hike by continuing up the main canyon.
