Corona Bowtie

USA> Moab> Colorado Right Bank>

Overview

hike2.5int

This short, popular hike follows a well-maintained trail to magnificent Corona and Bowtie Arches. Along the way are the Colorado River, a railroad track, a plateau lined with beige-orange slickrock and views of Bootlegger Canyon. There's one short, easy climb aided by steps cut into the slickrock and a metal cable. Your experience may be marred by tour groups rappelling down from or through Corona Arch. For best light and to avoid crowds go in the early morning or late afternoon.
