Bear Creek Oasis

USA> Palm Springs> Desert Cities>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This hike starts off with an easy warmup, climbs up a steep ridge on a well maintained trail above Bear Creek Canyon and rewards you at the end with a lush palm oasis tucked into the fold of a small canyon. Along the way are some dramatic desert terrain and good views of La Quinta and Coachella Valley. There's a long stretch of climbing up the ridge with no shade, so your best bet is to go early in the morning during the cool season.
