Magnesia Springs Canyon

Overview

hike4.0adv

This exciting hike climbs Magnesia Springs Canyon. You start off up dirt roads along a cemented waterway and over a broad dam. Then things get interesting as you climb the narrow, twisting canyon. You walk between colorful cliff walls, pass through several pretty palm groves and scramble up or around a handful of dry stone falls. The canyon feels mostly wild, providing a fun sense of adventure. You can go all the way to the junction with the Art Smith trail, though shorter hikes are also quite rewarding.
