Nu'alolo Ridge

USA> Hawaii> Kauai>

Overview

hike3.7adv

This hike follows Nu'alolo Ridge out to a breathtaking overlook of the Napali Coast. The first few miles of rolling descent offer mixed jungle but aren't that special. The payoff comes when you break out along the open lower ridge with stunning views of towering cliffs and dramatic canyons plunging beneath you. Use caution along the lower ridge as there are frequent dangerous drop-offs. Best done in good weather as clouds can spoil the views and the trail can be a muddy, slippery slog in wet conditions.
