Overview

hike3.0int

This hike climbs to the summit of Ryan Mountain, a small peak in Joshua Tree National Park. You follow a well-defined single track trail between boulders and up a moderate climb past yucca and cactus. There are good views on the way up and the summit offers a satisfying 360 degree panorama over the north part of the park. The climb is a bit strenuous but the trail is fairly short and in pretty good shape. This is a popular hike so you'll probably be sharing the summit with other visitors.
