This hike loops through Palm Canyon on the East Fork and Vandeventer Trails. You start and end with an easy stroll along a trickling stream through a huge grove of majestic California Fan Palm trees. In between you climb a gently tapering canyon to a plateau with cactus, yucca and mountain views. This is a great introduction to desert hiking requiring only modest effort. A network of trails allows for shorter or longer hikes as desired. Bring water and wear sun protection.
