Overview

hike3.5int

This hike leads to Willow Hole, an oasis in the north part of Joshua Tree National Park. You start off on the Boy Scout Trail across a plateau with Joshua trees and cactus. Next you turn east and follow the Willow Hole Trail into the Wonderland of Rocks, a pretty labyrinth of rounded beige granite. There's some sandy wash bottom just before the oasis but otherwise the trails are wide and smooth making for easy going. For a longer hike you can explore some of the area beyond the oasis before returning.
