Overview

hike3.0int

This short hike climbs a small canyon to a high point overlooking the Mecca Hills and Salton Sea. The canyon is an easy walk up a narrow, twisting wash with colorful walls and green scrub bushes. Eventually you take two small forks to the right and climb a short stretch of steep terrain to a ridge top. The panorama encompasses the surrounding contorted canyons, distant mountains and often hazy horizon over the Salton Sea. It's best to use GPS to navigate the unmarked forks in the canyon.
