This hike climbs the Laie Ridge trail to the Ko'olau Summit. You'll enjoy frequent coast and valley views, interesting ridgetop terrain, beautiful mixed jungle and tasty strawberry guava. On clear days the summit offers a sweeping panorama of the North Shore. The trail is usually in good shape up to the signed Laie Falls junction; beyond this things get slower with mud and tricky footing obscured by vegetation. From the summit you can optionally continue north along the overgrown KST to Malaekahana Summit.
