Observation Point

USA> Zion>

Overview

hike4.5int

This hike climbs from the floor of Zion Canyon to Observation Point. Along the way are steep climbs, switchbacks, soaring cliffs, colorful sandstone terrain, slot canyons, a broad plateau, scrub bush and coral sand. There's an exciting section where the trail has been cut across the face of a white sandstone cliff. Observation Point offers great views overlooking Zion Canyon with Angel's Landing in the foreground. It's worth making the short detour into Hidden Canyon if time and energy permit.
