Fairview Mountain

Overview

hike3.5adv

This hike climbs from Lake Louise to the summit of Fairview Mountain in Banff National Park. Along the way are singletrack trails, steady climbs, conifer forest, switchbacks, a small meadow with dwarf pines and a final steep push to the top. The dramatic summit offers a panoramic vista of Bow Valley and nearby peaks. The route is long on views and elevation gain. On the way back down it's worth making a brief side trip to the summit of Saddle Peak for clifftop views of Mt Temple and Paradise Valley.
