Kiholo Bay

USA> Hawaii> Big Island>

Overview

hike3.0int

This hike follows the shoreline from Kiholo Bay to Mano Point. The bay is a popular spot to snorkel and watch green sea turtles swim in turquoise waters. To escape the crowds, head west to the Point. You'll enjoy a mostly off-trail adventure with black sand beaches, coral and lava shores, shooting spray, tide pools, lush greenery and coast views. On the downside, heavy gravel and rough trail through a'a lava can make parts of this feel like a tedious slog. Bring water and go early to beat the heat.
