This hike takes you from the hills above Kentfield up forested slopes and ridges to the East Summit of Mt Tamalpais. You begin with an interesting walk along the top of an open ridge on a steeply rolling dirt fire road, then climb most of the way up on a wide and well maintained single track trail. The summit provides panoramic views of Marin County and San Francisco Bay with its cities and bridges.
