Pu'u Hapapa

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This exciting hike climbs from Kolekole Road to the summit of Pu'u Hapapa. Along the way are an easy warmup through mixed forest then steep climbs up dramatic narrow ridges with big drops on either side. The ridge tops and summit offer panoramic views of the Wai'anae Coast and Oahu Plain. The total distance isn't long but the ascents are steep and Wai'anae Range often gets hot by late morning, so bring plenty of water. The narrow ridges are best suited to experienced hikers unafraid of heights.
