Olowalu frontage

USA> Hawaii> Maui>

Overview

hike3.0int

This run takes you from Launiupoko Beach Park to Olowalu on a frontage road just inland from the highway. Along the way are occasional coast and mountain views, empty tracts of land and residential areas. The road is mostly abandoned with rough, eroded pavement that makes for quick going with some tricky footing. Near Olowalu the road is still in use so the pavement is smoother. It's not especially pretty but this is one of the few places near Lahaina where you can run longer distances away from traffic.
