Overview

hike2.5int

This short, easy hike climbs along the top of a rounded slickrock butte whose shape resembles the back of a whale. Along the way are colorful desert dotted with trees, a gentle climb and some views of the surrounding area. The best part is the second half of the trail where you walk along the slickrock. Cairns lead to a small summit bump you can climb to enjoy the views. You can explore beyond the summit to the south end of the butte as long as you're careful of a few steep spots.
