Overview

hike3.0int

This short, interesting hike climbs Aztec Butte and visits a pair of ancient pueblo granaries. Along the way are pleasant desert meadow, scattered trees and white and salmon-colored sandstone. The butte climb involves minor scrambling up steep sandstone and a 1 meter (3 foot) ledge. At the top, a short loop provides panoramic views in all directions.
