Mountain View Cave

USA> Moab> Moab Valley>

Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike crosses the western Sand Flats Recreation Area to a viewpoint overlooking Moab Valley. Along the way are slickrock fins and ridges, impressive Mountain View Cave, a jeep road and portions of the famous Slickrock Bike Trail. The viewpoint at the end offers great views over Moab and the Colorado River Portal. The hike as described involves some route-finding and vertical exposure, but these can be detoured if desired. The jeep and mountain bike trails are popular so be prepared to share the road.
