This hike makes a grand loop up Portal Overlook and down Poison Spider Mesa. You start on a highway, then climb a single track hiking trail and finish on jeep roads. Along the way are the Colorado River, Wall Street, a steep climb, big views of the river portal and Moab Valley, picturesque Little Arch and a long descent across Poison Spider Mesa. The route is long and the jeep roads frequently rough and sandy so make sure you have plenty of water, food and time to complete the loop.
