Overview

hike3.0int

This short hike leads to False Kiva, a stone circle of unknown origin located in a cliff alcove. You follow a lightly traveled trail marked by cairns through a shallow gully, down a rocky slope and back up a talus pile to the base of the cliffs. The alcove offers stunning views of Candlestick Tower and the Green River Basin. The trail is intentionally not shown on official park maps to discourage overuse and vandalism. Please be respectful of this unprotected, historically significant site.
