Overview

hike4.6adv

This rewarding hike follows the Coastal Trail, paralleling West Ridgecrest Blvd along the south end of Bolinas Ridge. You walk on groomed singletrack, perched dramatically amidst steep grassy flanks, through occasional conifer groves, weaving in and out along the folds of a sculpted open ridgetop. The highlight is continuous views over Bolinas Bay and the Pacific Coast. You can walk back along Ridgecrest Blvd for a speedier return if traffic is light, or loop back via the Cataract Trail for more variety.

Park in the Rock Springs parking lot. There's no fee but the lot tends to fill up by mid-morning so it's best to arrive early, especially on weekends.
