Kamaile'unu

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike3.7adv

This challenging and exciting hike climbs Kamaile'unu Ridge to a series of summits overlooking Wai'anae and Makaha Valleys. Along the way are lots of scrambling, many ups and downs, some narrow sections above big drops, false summits and continuous panoramic views. This hike is all about climbing and views. The constant scrambling over rough and steep terrain will challenge the endurance of most hikers. There's no shade and the region is usually hot and dry. Start early and bring plenty of food and water.
