This hike loops around the west half of Angel Island and climbs to its summit. Along the way are singletrack trails, small forested canyons, open ridgetops, the paved Perimeter Road, small beaches and military ruins dating back to the 1800s. The summit offers picnic tables and 360 degree views of the San Francisco Bay with its hills, cities and bridges. The island's network of trails and roads allows for longer or shorter hikes as desired. Keep an eye on the clock so you don't miss your return ferry.
