This hike starts from the Trading Post in Palm Canyon, climbs the Fern Canyon and Wildhorse Trails to the summit of Murray Hill, then descends the Berns and Goat Trails to Palm Springs. Along the way are palm groves, canyons, steep climbs, remote backcountry, dramatic ridges, a satisfying summit and panoramic views over Palm Springs and Cathedral City. The network of trails around Murray Hill allows for shorter hikes if desired. There are many junctions so it's best to bring a map.
