Briones Reservoir Loop

USA> Bay Area> East Bay>

Overview

hike3.2adv

This hike loops around Briones Reservoir from the Overlook Staging Area. Along the way are a broad earth dam, dirt roads, meadows, utility towers, blackbirds, oak forest, occasional steep climbs, cow pastures, some singletrack trail and a finish along the highway. There are many views of the reservoir and several pleasant sections along the shoreline under tree cover. In the mornings you may see rowing crews training near the dam. It's best to bring a map to help navigate several junctions along the way.
