Carquinez Shoreline

USA> Bay Area> East Bay>

Overview

hike3.6adv

This hike follows the Carquinez Regional Shoreline from Crockett to Martinez. Along the way are rolling hills, small valleys, meadows, deciduous trees, cattle, the town of Port Costa, singletrack trails, dirt roads and a paved bicycle path. The highlight is frequent views over Carquinez Strait and its gleaming water, bridges, ships and sailboats. Side trails and several access points with parking allow for shorter or longer hikes as desired. The area can be either hot or windy and there's not much shade.
