San Bruno Ridge

USA> Bay Area> Peninsula>

Overview

hike3.2int

This hike climbs from Firth Park to the summit of San Bruno Mountain. Along the way are a small forested gully, single track trails, steep climbs, fire roads, a long rolling ridge, utility towers and a summit area filled with broadcast antennas. The highlight is hours of open ridge top with continuous views of San Francisco, the Bay and peninsula cities. You'll probably have the mountain mostly to yourself despite being so close to the City. There's very little shade so wear sun protection.
