Seaview Ridge

USA> Bay Area> East Bay>

Overview

hike3.8int

This hike follows the Seaview Trail from Inspiration Point to Vollmer Peak in Tilden Regional Park. Along the way are groomed fire roads, stands of eucalyptus and conifer, a couple hours of enjoyable ridgetop terrain and frequent views of the Bay, Berkeley and San Pablo and Briones Reservoirs. There's partial shade but it's good to have water and sun protection on warm days. Inspiration Point is popular so it's best to go early, especially on weekends. For a longer hike continue north on Nimitz Way.
