Konahuanui

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This hike climbs from Tantalus Drive to the summit of Konahuanui, the highest point in the Ko'olau Range. You start off on official trails to the Pauoa Flats bench, then follow rough trails up Konahuanui Ridge to K2. On clear days the summit offers magnificent views. Check the weather as clouds often shroud the summit, and rain makes the steep climb slippery and unpleasant. It's best to use GPS to navigate several unmarked junctions. If you have an extra hour, head north from K2 along the KST to visit K1.
