Boo Hoff North

USA> Palm Springs> Desert Cities>

Overview

hike2.5int

This hike climbs the north half of the Boo Hoff Trail from La Quinta. Along the way are dirt roads, a long tapering wash, desert scrub, colorful foothills, groomed singletrack and a long climb up a steep ridge on graded switchbacks. There are frequent down-canyon views over La Quinta and from the top you can see the Salton Sea to the south. The first part of the route may be crowded but few people continue as far as the singletrack. For a longer hike continue to the south end of the Boo Hoff Trail.
