Kuilau Ridge

USA> Hawaii> Kauai>

Overview

hike3.5beg

This easy hike follows the Kuilau Ridge Trail to a picnic area in the hills above Wailua. You climb gradually on a wide, smooth trail through pretty mixed forest and jungle. There are occasional valley views, and from the covered picnic tables at the top you can see Wai'ale'ale, the highest point on Kauai. Overall this is a good introduction to jungle hiking on Kauai. The Kuilau Ridge Trail ends at a wooden bridge. For a longer hike, continue past the bridge onto the Moalepe Trail.
