Horse Blithedale

USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike3.8adv

This hike explores a series of ridges connecting the Tiburon Peninsula to the flanks of Mt Tamalpais. You loop through five different Marin County Open Space Preserves on fire roads, single track trails and residential streets. The first half is a workout with steep climbs along oak-lined ridge tops with intermittent views. The second half is a mostly-flat stroll through shaded conifer forest. You may be greeted by roaming horses during the first climb. Keep an eye out for ticks and poison oak.
