Kulana'ahane Godek

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike4.3adv

This hike climbs the Kulana'ahane Trail to the Moanalua Saddle then descends the Godek-Jakulski Trail. Along the way are a dirt road, mixed forest, stream crossings, singletrack trails, fern jungle, steep climbs and descents, a side spur to an interesting waterfall and wreckage from a WWII airplane. The saddle offers panoramic views over Haiku Valley and the windward coast. Traversing the saddle is suitable for advanced hikers only due to steep scrambles and narrow sections with big vertical exposure.
