Olomana Ahiki

USA> Hawaii> Oahu>

Overview

hike4.0exp

This expert hike climbs the Three Peaks of Olomana then descends the back side of Ahiki to Waimanalo. Beginner scrambling leads to the popular 1st summit with rewarding 360 degree views. Confident scrambling above dangerous exposure is required to reach Ahiki, the 3rd summit. The back side requires advanced skills, lots of rope work and a cool head as you descend a series of 10-30 ft rock faces. From the bottom of Ahiki, a confusing patchwork of faint trails follows the ridgeline to the Maunawili trail.
