Alpine Pine

USA> Bay Area> Marin County>

Overview

hike3.9adv

This interesting hike loops from Alpine Dam over Pine Mountain then back along Kent Lake. You'll encounter grassy hills, conifer groves, secluded canyons, Carson Falls, scrub slopes and windswept ridgetops. The upper portions offer views over the surrounding lakes and forested canyons. Much of the route follows established trails but there are three stretches of challenging off-trail bushwhacking, making this suitable for advanced hikers. Be wary of ticks, especially in the scrub below Pine Mountain.
