Mill Creek - North Fork

USA> Moab> Moab Valley>

Overview

hike2.8int

This rewarding hike follows the North Fork of Mill Creek. You'll enjoy a colorful, twisting canyon bottom with sandstone cliffs, cottonwood groves, cactus, year-round flowing water and 3 pour-offs with pools. This is a popular hike on warm days. Several stream crossings require walking in knee-deep water. Take care not to damage the fragile soils in the canyon. The first 2 pour-offs are easy to bypass. The 3rd is most safely bypassed by climbing a shelf on the north bank 1,000 ft (300 m) before the pool.
