Devil's Slide Coast

USA> Bay Area> Peninsula>

Overview

hike3.7adv

This hike loops along the coast from Pacifica to Montara. You start by climbing out onto Point San Pedro for great views and a dramatic overlook of San Pedro Rock. Next you climb the flank of Montara Mountain and descend to Montara Beach. Finally you follow the Gray Whale Cove and Devil's Slide Trails to close the loop. The route offers a lot of variety without being overly strenuous. The only drawback is a 10 minute stretch along the busy shoulder of Highway 1 which can be unpleasant, especially for dogs.
