Overview

hike3.6adv

This hike follows the coast from Wavecrest Beach to the Cowell-Purisima Coastal Trail. At low tide you can walk at waterline past long sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, tide pools, sandstone cliffs and eroded gullies. At high tide you can follow blufftop trails along broad grassy plateaus and past the Ritz-Carlton resort and golf course. There are periodic coast views and you may see shore birds and marine mammals. Keep an eye out for poison oak along pathways and sneaker waves at water level.
