Tunitas Pescadero

Overview

hike3.7adv

This hike follows the coast from Tunitas Creek to Pescadero State Beach. You'll enjoy hours of continuous beautiful beach, walking on beige sand at waterline past stream outlets and sandstone cliffs. You'll see shorebirds, few people and possibly marine mammals. Some portions of the shoreline may be impassable at high water so check tide conditions beforehand. If necessary you can return via the shoulder of Hwy 1 but this can be unpleasant, especially with weekend traffic.
