Point Reyes Beach - South

USA> Bay Area> Point Reyes>

Overview

hike2.8adv

This hike follows the southern half of Point Reyes Beach. It's a long walk along an impressively straight beach backed by low sandstone bluffs. You'll enjoy continuous ocean views, shorebirds and solitude as you work your way toward the tip of the Point Reyes Peninsula. You'll probably end up walking most of the way in deep sand so consider turning back early if you get tired. It's possible to cut inland and return via Sir Francis Drake Blvd but this tends to be unpleasant, especially on weekends.
