Te Werahi Track

New Zealand>

Overview

hike3.5adv

This hike follows the Te Werahi Twilight Loop Track. Along the way are green fields, grazing sheep, marsh boardwalks, scrub dunes, two beaches, volcanic badlands, sandy foothills, coast views, rocky capes, grassy islands and a stream crossing. The route is generally well marked but there are places where you'll probably have to look around to spot the orange DoC markers. There isn't much shade so bring plenty of water on warm days. For a shorter hike, skip the side spur out to Cape Maria Van Diemen.
