Mount Manaia

New Zealand>

Overview

hike3.0int

This popular hike climbs to the summit of Mt Manaia. It's a steep but fairly short climb on a well-groomed trail of gravel, stairs and bridges. On the way up you'll pass through a range of shrub, temperate and jungle vegetation. The trail ends at a summit platform with panoramic views next to a set of dramatic rocky spires. The hike is suitable for children as long as they're mindful of the edge of the platform. Advanced hikers can continue around the spires on unofficial trails to additional viewpoints.
