Trona Pinnacles

USA> Southern Sierra>

Overview

hike4.0int

This short hike explores the central cluster of the Trona Pinnacles. You follow a network of unofficial trails through a series of dramatic tufa spires. You'll enjoy ever-changing perspectives of the pinnacles and continuous views of the surrounding open desert. Near the south end of the cluster it's possible to scramble the top of the highest of all the pinnacles. Use caution as this involves vertical exposure. For a longer hike, carry water and continue exploring into the adjacent western cluster.
