Scott Creek Beach

Overview

hike3.5int

This hike explores the coastline north of Scott Creek Beach. You'll enjoy a popular beach, river mouth, wild rocky shoreline, impressive cliffs, small trickling waterfalls, tide pools, shorebirds and intermittent coast views. If the creek flow is too strong you can cross over along the highway bridge. While north of the beach keep an eye out for rockfalls and unexpectedly strong waves. Certain spots require beginner scrambling and others may be impassable at high water, so check tide conditions beforehand.
