Overview

hike3.0adv

This hike follows the shoreline from Kihei north around Ma'alaea Bay. The south half through Kihei passes popular beach parks, resorts, a residential neighborhood and paved shoreline walkways. The north half is a peaceful walk along long arcs of open beach that stretch all the way to Ma'alaea. You'll enjoy continuous views across the water of Kaho'olawe, Lanai and the West Maui mountains. There are trailheads throughout the route if you'd prefer a shorter hike and shops in Kihei where you can buy supplies.

There are public parking lots with beach access at both ends of the route and several points in between. You can start from either end or from somewhere in the middle if you prefer a shorter hike.
