This hike covers the San Leandro Bayshore along the SF Bay Trail. You follow paved and dirt bike paths past parks, coves, peninsulas, beaches, wetlands, a golf course, a residential neighborhood and a marina with hotel and restaurants. You'll enjoy frequent Bay views, shorebirds and peace and quiet along the southern half of the route. There are multiple access points with parking and the Bay Trail continues both north and south of the area so hikes of varying length are easily accommodated.
